A lesson Halloween

Halloween has never been my choice of vacation. As a teenager, grew up in Chicago, trick-or-treat was sometimes done in very cold nights our customs which means we had to take more hands. I absolutely loved the candy, but since these goodies you could not see the assignment, my costume and the nights are cold and windy, never had much meaning for me.

As a mother, I finally warmed up for the holidays, when my children were small, but I still had a problemwith all the emphasis on witches and ghosts and the like. A holiday concentrated gruesome and disturbing things still bother me. I was definitely happy and relieved when my boys have chosen generally more "healthy" images from their costumes to imitate.

Neighborhood activities

Before moving to Chicago, we lived in California and one in the neighborhood who lived in the neighborhood had a garage sale. By planning the sale block all the same daymeans more visitors and the event was much more successful for everyone. One of my son were a stand selling various goodies, taking advantage of all buyers who came to our neighborhood.

One year, we had to make the decision, the earnings of one of our neighbors who had a child with a disability and not much money for the necessities of life. After the sale, we were happy to help them make more than $ 100.00 to buy food and personal care, etc. for Family.

Let's do it for Halloween!

Halloween seemed to be perfect! Since there are many children in the transport sector will have a lot. The Lesson Learned

All the value was created the event, overshadowed in my mind, if not achieve our goal. I lost all the advantages only the results from more sophisticated.
